Containers

A container load is handled just like a normal
truckload pro. The only difference is that these
loads use containers (with a possible chassis)
instead of  trailers. On the equipment assignment
screens, the labels are trailer and converter.

Container loads can be:

Inbound
A loaded container is to be taken from a ship to
a customer and returned.

Outbound
An empty container is to be picked up from the ship,
taken to the customer, and returned loaded (or
exchanged for a loaded) and returned loaded

Domestic
A container is moved from one customer to another.

Every time a container is picked up or returned, a
TIR form is received.  This is the receipt!

The process of picking up and returning containers
is called DRAY.
This function in the system is used to:
1.  Track container for which the carrier is responsible.
2. Create the equipment record for the container/
chassis so that they show up in the trailer
inventories and can be further dispatched.
3. Remove the equipment record when the container/
     chassis is returned.
