Dispatch

The Dispatch function is an integral segment of the Operations environment. Within this real-time application, it provides information for decision-makers to keep track of all the key factors that impact the productivity and revenues in all aspects of operations.

KEY FEATURES

Pro Entry (Booking)

  
• Provides for entry or modification of all necessary 
     information for freight movement.
   • Additional instructions or comments.
   • Passes data on to freight billing.

Dispatch

   • Displays company's resources such as drivers, 
     tractors, and trailers by load status, by region, or 
     area/city.  Aides dispatcher's timeliness and 
     efficiency of assembling available resources to 
     freight shipments.
   • Displays shipments (Inbound and Outbound) by 
     region or area/city
   • Message system for drivers.
   • Dispatch a freight shipment.
   • Freight shipment types:
   • Truckload
   • Multi-stop truckload
   • More-than-Truckload
   • LTL

Quick Dispatch

   • Enter short haul or repetitious loads that require 
     quick handling, can create up to 99 shipments 
     from one dispatch entry
   • Repetitive Shipments that are used over and over 
     with a specified Shipper and Consignee can be 
     stored as a Standard order using the same routing, 
     rating, andspecial instructions

Shipment Planning

   • Available Loads and Inbound Equipment displayed 
     by area/city.
   • Make tentative assignments with the available 
     drivers and equipment in order to pre-plan shipments 
     in advance.
   • Equipment status and Location.
   • Automated optimal dispatch calculation based on 
     time & deadhead miles

Routing will calculate most practical route with selectable options:

   • Route optimization by best time or best   
     distance            
   • Truck minimum clearance restrictions
   • Seasonal road-condition restrictions
   • Toll road usage assignments
   • National border crossing assignments

Equipment & Driver Tracking

   • Tracks shipments, drivers, and equipment.
      Dispatch has real-time access to information on 
      all equipment and driver activities.

Driver Check Calls

   • Each contact with driver is logged with current time, 
     date and location.
   • Failure code can be issued by dispatcher for missing 
     pickup or delivery times and/or other company 
     violations.
   • Making check calls includes recording additional pay, 
     advances, purchase orders; verifying pieces, weight, 
     and Bill of Lading numbers, pallet tracking, and
     recording OS&D.
   • Waiting messages are given to driver and  logged by 
     dispatcher with date and time given.
   • Allows for accurate inventory on pallets, which tracks 
     movements into and out of customers and/or trailers.
   • Records the number of good and bad pallets 
     exchanged.
   • Keeps track of each driver, tractor, trailer, and 
     customer in every pallet transaction.

Telemarketing

   • Improved equipment utilization by pre-planning 
     backhauls in and out of specific marketing areas.
   • Customer's credit status and ranking, and multiple 
     contacts with phone numbers for shipper.
   • Comments and special instructions per customer per 
     location.
   • Automated best backhaul ranking based on deadhead 
     miles

Management Reporting

   • Displays shipments (assigned and unassigned) coming 
     out of an area (region).
   • Displays shipments (assigned and unassigned) coming 
     into an area (region).
   • Lists locations of trailers, tractors, pallets by area 
     (region) and availability
   • Produces deadhead mileage reports
   • Allows audit of deadhead miles, deadhead percent, 
     and round trip revenue per mile on pre-planned 
     backhauls prior to dispatch.
